Beautiful Chaos E-mail

NOM*d have put together yet another collection of intensely rich textures and clashing prints. Confusing and confronting the eye in a layering frenzy entitled Bedlam, their new range has been inspired by an 18th century London asylum for the insane and deranged.

Pale faced models took to the runway in shrunken, boiled red and blue striped school boy blazers, vintage –look pajama prints, backless suit jackets, shirts and waistcoats that have been doubled and extended. Fair isle knitwear pieces swaddled the body so tight that any wreaking of havoc is well avoided… straight jacket style.

Yet another successful jaunt in the experimentation of form and construction in the dark and witty world of NOM*d. Enjoy - there is much madness to be had this winter.

Maus Trapped E-mail

The Claude Maus Autumn/Winter ’09 collection is awash with a Nordic neo-folk aesthetic and plenty of leather, delicate dresses and drop-crotch pants to keep the winter blues at bay.

This season sees the inclusion of lambskin fur pieces to the label’s trademark leather - jackets.. leggings.. jumpers.. dresses, fine silk satins and baby soft jerseys with a more experimental take on cut and shape.  Edges are raw, lines are curved and silhouettes are long, lean and layered following a vision of drapery, texture and fluidity creating a collection that is dark and tough and delicately beautiful.

P.s.  If you happen to be in the fine city of Melbourne drop into the Claude Maus boutique located in Manchester Lane for a closer look at the exclusively stocked and incredibly beautiful menswear range by Croatian-born designer Damir Doma.

Wasson Online E-mail

erinCool girl Erin Wasson has already delved into modelling, jewellery design and muse for Alexander Wang, but now the little minx has created her debut line for RVCA. And it's finally online shopping time.

Erin Wasson x RVCA was launched at New York Fashion Week. The range captures Erin's sense of casual, street rock flair whilst still adhering to RVCA's vision for "a design driven lifestly brand free from passing trends".

Just remember the US exchnage rate...ouch.
